Denise Donlon, recently appointed to the Board o CHUM Limited, is a trailblazer in the Canadian music and entertainment industry. Denise formerly held the position of President of Sony Music Canada from 2000 - 2004. Ms. Donlon has held a number of executive positions with CHUM Television including Vice President and General Manager of MuchMusic and MuchMoreMusic. Most recently, Ms. Donlon was a co-producer of Live 8 Canada and one of the organizers of last year's Canadian tsunami relief television event on CBC. Denise was also invested with the Order of Canada in 2005 and inducted into the Canadian Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2002.
Denise's early days in the music business included tour managing bands through North America and Europe, and joining MuchMusic as a host/producer of The New Music. Her involvement at Much and MuchMoreMusic help bring Canadian music to an international audience. She has worked with superstars such as Celine Dion, Chantal Kreviazuk and Leonard Cohen.
